“Yesterday, everybody smoked his last cigar, took his last drink and swore his last oath. Today, we are a pious and exemplary community. Thirty days from now, we shall have cast our reformation to the winds and gone to cutting our ancient shortcomings considerably shorter than ever.”
Mark Twain
I’m starting the new year off right by sticking to my plan to do homework on a day I would rather be hiking but who knows what 30 days will bring…Mark Twain is just a little bit cynical in this quote, but unfortunately for many people he is correct. Our resolve to make the current year a better year than last is easier said than done. This year my office will hold two calendars and one will be my writing calendar so I won’t miss those deadlines I missed last year. I’m also going to post the deadlines on the Writing Nag in hopes that by writing about the opportunities I will also submit. Happy New Year!
Lovingly,
The Writing Nag
