Making New Year’s Resolutions Stick

“We will open the book.  Its pages are blank.  We are going to put words on them ourselves.  The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.”
Edith Lovejoy Pierce

This is one of my favorite quotes because of the image it presents…

Although this is a rough draft I believe that without a support and accountability system in place most new year’s resolutions will fail. If you find yourself making the same resolution every year you might want to ask yourself how doable the resolution is. Can you break down your goal into smaller steps so you can feel a sense of accomplishment instead of feeling like a failure? Can you find a group of people who support your goals and keep you accountable? Can you set a realistic date for accomplishing your goals? What have you found is the best way to accomplish goals?

Lovingly,
