Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and just listen. Attributed to Bobby, age 7.
Author unknown, from a popular email about what kids think love is.
This has been one of the busiest holiday seasons I remember…so the last few days one of my favorite things to do is just sit in the dining room with my Frasier Fir candle lit and my Christmas tree lit and be still. It’s become a daily meditation of sorts and I’ve begun to look forward to it every afternoon before I go to my second job. I think with all that goes on at Christmas time, the shopping, the parties, the hustle and bustle we can forget to stop for a moment and just listen. Bobby is right that quiet time is love and peace and the true spirit of Christmas. Sometimes we can forget that.
Lovingly,
