The Fragrance of New Flowers

The writer spreads the fragrance of new flowers, an abundance of sprouting buds.

Lu Chi (261-303), from The Art of Writing, translated by Sam Hamill

The last month has been hurried…finishing up end of the year paperwork, opening a new business, and dealing with interruptions, changes and well, just normal life things. Often writing takes a back seat which makes me feel incomplete. This quote reminds me to look for buds of writing everyday. Maybe you don’t have or make time for writing but you can take the time to jot down “buds” in your writing journal. These buds can blossom when you take the time for your writing. Can you just take five minutes today to write some seeds in your writing journal?
Lovingly,
The Writing Nag
